I think it’s safe to say that winter has most definitely arrived, albeit a bit premature, but she’s definitely not holding back. If the recent weather is anything to go by, we’re in for a really cold season. When it comes to the chilly months, I find that my skin needs a more TLC than usual; whether it’s a brightening serum, hyaluronic acid toner or an extra moisturiser packed full of hydration.
I am sure you can relate. Sometimes, no matter how much moisturiser you slather on in winter, it just doesn’t seem to be enough. Your skin feels dry and lacklustre. Not to mention the fact that you’re spending a fortune on bottles of expensive face creams – so much so that if you emptied the contents of it all onto your lawn, it would make for a great ‘slippery slide’ for the kiddies.
If you’re not doing it already, start now! Winter is definitely the time to pamper yourself, your skin, and to set aside some special “me” time every week. I have the perfect way for you to start and it’s called multi-masking.

“… the humble sheet […] masks have not only revolutionised masking and made it all the more fun, but they are packed with incredible ingredients based on the Korean skincare system.”What is it? Multi-masking is essentially using different face masks at the same time but on different areas of the face in an effort to treat a range of skin care concerns. You might apply a clay mask on an oily T-zone to target pores, paired with a hydration mask or a pink and lavender sand mask on the rest of your face to brighten, tighten and lift the skin. Clay masks, mud masks, glitter masks and sheet masks originating from South Korea – you name it. Face masks come in all textures, colours, shapes and sizes. They’re all the rage right now among women and groups of friends are even getting together to throw masking parties – with some bubbly on the side, naturally. We have the humble sheet mask to thank for this growing beauty addiction. These unique masks have not only revolutionised masking and made it all the more fun, but they are packed with incredible ingredients based on the Korean skincare system. These masks come in different shapes for the lips, under-eye and full face masks and target different issues such as redness, pigmentation, fine lines and wrinkles and even collagen production. The sheet masks also come in all different kinds of delicious scents and ingredients such as watermelon, chamomile, green tea and matcha! So, when the weather is dreary and your skin is feeling a little dull, pour yourself a bath (and a glass of wine) and delight in the simple pleasure of multi-masking. Come Summer, your skin will adore you for it!
