Waldo and the Werewolf in the red takkies by Jaco Jacobs, review by Sibonokuhle Konongo

Waldo and Connie live in the same block of flats – and they are puzzled because strange things keep happening in their neighbourhood. Lots of pets are going missing and Waldo is seeing things … things that don’t really exist! This enjoyable book was easy to read and the animated pages are simple, yet create a good visual for children. There is a cute witty humour between Waldo and Connie. The intriguing build-up of the story is exciting. The kids will love it.
